Effect of kukui nut oil
Kukui nut oil is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, linoleic and linolenic acids, rich in vitamins A, B and E and contains the phytohormones campesterol, stigmasterol and beta-sitosterol. The unsaturated fatty acids in the oil are said to support the formation of epidermal ceramides and make the oil particularly effective in treating sensitive, irritated and impure skin. Due to its high content of α-linolenic acid and vitamins A and E, Kikuyu nut oil is said to have a skin-tightening and moisturizing effect. Kukui nut oil gives the skin an extra portion of lipids and protects against moisture and negative environmental influences.
